Visiting Sacred Heart Home. Sacred Heart Home recommends that visitors, regardless of vaccination status, obtain Covid-19 test within 72 hours of entry into the facility (this requirement will be in effect any time, the COVID-19 level of community transmission in Prince Georges County is HIGH). Visitors will still be required to have their temperature taken, complete a COVID-19 Surveillance Form, wear a mask, and perform hand-hygiene before and after their visit. All residents, staff, volunteers, and vendors who are in the facility regularly, regardless of vaccination status, shall be tested twice a week for COVID-19 using an approved or emergency use authorized COVID-19 test.

Washington, DC's WUSA9 News featured Sacred Heart Home on their morning news show on Saturday, March 13. They interviewed Sr. Vacha, administrator and resident Judy Porter on the challenges faced during the past year.
On Thursday, January 14, both residents and staff who opted, received the Covid-19 vaccine. Click for photos. Update: On February 4, the second doses were adminstered to residents and staff. On February 25, the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was administered to those staff members and residents who had not yet received it. The vaccine schedule was purposely staggered so that staffing would not be affected by any adverse reactions.
